100 – The Passing of Los Angeles International Airport LTSO Mark Iseminger

With a heavy heart I share with you the sad news that Los Angeles International Airport LTSO Mark Iseminger passed away on April 10. While the cause of death is not yet known, it is suspected to be related to COVID-19.

Mark joined TSA in 2002 as a TSO at LAX and was promoted to LTSO nearly two years later. He served his entire TSA career at LAX, most recently in checked baggage. He was dedicated to our agency’s mission to protect the traveling public and had a huge impact on those around him.

We continue to do everything possible to look after your health, safety and well-being. Please remember TSA’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available as a free resource for employees dealing with loss and other difficult life challenges. EAP services are confidential and include stress management, change management and other problem-solving support. TSA employees and their family members can also take advantage of up to six free counseling sessions.

In addition, you can get direct support by calling toll-free (800) 222-0364 (TTY 1-888-262-7848) or online at FOH4you.com. You can find more information on Human Capital’s TSA Workforce Programs website.

We mourn Mark’s passing and also celebrate his life. On behalf of the TSA family, I send my deepest condolences to Mark’s family, friends and colleagues.
