Good Afternoon Team LGA,
TSA Aviation Operations is directing an administrative adjustment to the current Weather & Safety and Administrative Leave process under the Administrator’s authority to declare an Operational Need. The adjustment will affect all LGA Hub and Spoke employees who currently utilize Weather & Safety and Administrative Leave and may have implications for employee compensation. Each employee affected by this policy change will be receiving an email describing the change in greater detail and will acknowledge receipt of the email.
In general terms, the adjustment will change the specific work hours claimed in Kronos and Web T&A for Weather & Safety and Administrative Leave. Effective 10 May, 2020 all employees claiming Weather & Safety and Administrative Leave will use 0900-1730 hours. All High Risk and Quarantined employees will see their work schedules adjusted to reflect a Monday thru Friday, 0900-1730 hours work schedule. For those employees actively supporting the operation via an assigned shift schedule, your current workdays/RDOs will remain unchanged, but during designated Weather & Safety Leave days, your hours worked will be adjusted to reflect 0900-1730 hours.
These adjustments are being implemented to build increased predictability for the workforce and further normalize our current administrative procedures. This new policy does not affect employees who are in a teleworking status.
V/r,
Matt McKeon
Deputy Federal Security Director
