Position of Federal Security Director

We are pleased to announce that TSA Headquarters has finally announced the position of Federal Security Director of LaGuardia Airport to Mr. Robert Duffy. Mr. Duffy has been the DFSD and acting FSD for a while now and will continue his fine leadership.

Wake Service for Douglas Lohle

Wearing of TSA uniform to the wake is authorized. This is a long sleeve uniform shirt with tie and normal pants and shoes. No polo shirts, cargo pants or shorts please.

Mourning bands

In remembrance of our fallen STSO Douglas LOHLE and to honor him, (A) FSD Robert DUFFY has authorized the use of mourning bands.

 

The mourning band is to be placed on your Federal Shield.

 

Mourning bands will be given out by Screening Support Team located at Terminal-B Suite 3815 office every day until 1600 hours.

Passing of STSO Douglas Lohle

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of STSO Douglas Lohle.

Doug was hired by TSA in 2004 as an Officer and quickly promoted to Lead Officer and Supervisory Officer. At his most recent assignment; TB-CHK-A-1; Doug was recently heralded as the JUNE 2016 LGA Employee of the Year by the Port Authority. His unexpected passing is a shock to all of us.

During this difficult time please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. We also want to remind everyone that TSA's Work Life Wellness Program is always available for anyone who needs it. The WLW program is a free, confidential resource that provides counseling services to TSA employees and their families. The WLW phone number is 1-866-888-9803. Please make sure that anyone you see who may need counseling services is aware of this free service.

We do not yet have information on funeral arrangements. We will pass those along as soon as we have them.
