Making TSANews Easier to Access

As a temporary measure during the COVID-19 crisis, TSA is making it easier for all employees to download and use the TSANews app on their personal devices.

The TSANews app is a great way to receive TSA’s latest COVID-19 information right at your fingertips, including leave policies, health guidance, and Administrator messages.

Here’s what you can do to download the app on your personal device:

·         First, forward this email to your personal email address.

·         Click here (https://go.usa.gov/xnT9M) on your smartphone to begin installation. (The app may begin to download in the background.)

·         Then, follow these instructions depending on whether you have an iPhone or Android phone:

o   iPhone users:

§  When asked to open this page in iTunes, click Open and then click Install.

§  Go to Settings > General > Device Management > Trust “Transportation Security Administration.”

§  Complete step-by-step instructions for iPhone users.

o   Android users:

§  You may be asked to keep TSANews. Click OK. Once finished downloading, you'll have the option to click Open.

§  You may be asked to allow the installation of unknown apps. Make sure “Allow from this source” is toggled on. Then, click the back arrow and click Install.      

§  Complete step-by-step instructions for Android users.

·         Enter your TSA email address as your login.

·         Enter H8ERTVT6 as your personal identification number (PIN). The PIN is case sensitive.

Users who need a PIN may call SPOC at 800-253-8571or can email tsanewsapp@tsa.dhs.gov for additional help. Current users will not be impacted by these changes.
