Our 1st Shift screening workforce at LGA will be transitioning back to pre-COVID start times next week to support expanded air carrier operations. For those Officers who rely on MTA transportation on 1st Shift , the return to normal start times may pose a significant challenge for commuting due to the on-going subway cleaning program. The following link provides alternative commute options for Officers on 1st Shift:

If Officers on 1st Shift are unable to utilize the commute options contained in the link and arrive late for their respective shift, no adverse action will be taken and each Officer will receive Weather & Safety compensation for the period of time they are late for their shift.
This policy will remain in effect until the MTA subway cleaning program is altered or rescinded.
