A winter storm warning is forecast for tomorrow March 21, 2018. Snow fall expectations in the city are 12-15 inches, winds gusting to 40 knots and temperatures in the mid-30s. Snow fall 2-3 inches per hour on Wednesday morning through the evening.
Staff with Telework Agreements are advised to take their laptops home and plan to telework for tomorrow. The TSA Office building (BCC) will be open for those employees that choose to come in.
There will be a 2 hour delayed start for Thursday March 22. The FSD Staff Meeting is cancelled for Thursday. There is a lenient leave policy for those that would rather use their accrued annual leave or comp time in lieu of telework or reporting to the office.
Supervisors please ensure to have an accurate contact list for your personnel before they depart today.
When delayed arrival, with unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework options, is announced, employees exercising the unscheduled telework option must be telework ready. Employees teleworking (scheduled or unscheduled) are to begin work on time and be prepared with sufficient work and any necessary equipment and technology to perform work at their alternative worksite. If an employee is not telework ready, the supervisor may deny a request for unscheduled telework. Employees exercising the unscheduled leave option are charged leave for the entire workday.
The new hire class will be approved Hazardous Weather for tomorrow. They are to report to training on Thursday for a 1000-1830 shift .
Please be advised that due to the impending weather, the OHC/ER supervisor training class scheduled for Wed/Thu is cancelled and all staff will be rescheduled for a later date.
Pending any further guidance from screening operations, all airport staff should report for work at their assigned duty locations.
