Management is aware of the storm and its impact on staff and is making plans to ensure the minimal disruption to the operation while allowing for the safety of all personnel. As models and storm tracks change, management will adjust plans and notify all staff of changes.
Current information shows that the MTA will be running full service. As the storm condition develops, routes may be curtailed and canceled. MTA commuters should monitor the MTA Travel Alert page at: http://alert.mta.info/ You can also sign up at the MTA site to receive alerts to your smart phone.
New York City Residents can go to http://maps.nyc.gov/snow/ to find which blocks have been plowed.
Communication
a. All Staff should ensure that they have provided the LGA CC and local Management/Supervisors up to date contact information.
b. All TSMs and STSOs should ensure that all officers have the LGA CC contact number and email. The LGA CC will be staffed 24/7 throughout the storm. You WILL be able to contact us. It is imperative to ensure that your NEW HIRES/TRANSFERS have been provided this information as well.
c. TSA LGA will also be monitoring and posting informative information to its blog spot that is viewable from your home computer or smart phone. Simply go to www.tsalgaemergencystatus.blogspot.com. You can also submit your email to the blog spot to receive alerts when new information is posted (we do not track your email).
d. Listen to your local news casts on TV and Radio.
e. You should have a plan of action such as:
1. Gas up your vehicle
2. Have a bag of clothes/medication/cash/toiletries ready to go
3. Flashlights/Batteries/Candles/Matches or Lighter – always good to have on hand
4. Have bottled water available in the event the storm surge damages local water supplies
f. Additionally, you will need to notify LGA CC if you are affected by the storm. Information that will be needed is:
· Name/Rank/Airport
· Callback number
· Where you have evacuated to (i.e., safe – evacuated to family’s house in City, State; or – evacuated to hotel name in City, State, etc)

g. In the event that the LGA CC is evacuated or you are unable to reach them, you can contact the National TSA toll free emergency number at (877) 872 7990 or email helpdesk@tsa-hraccess.com and provide the same information.
