TO: All TSA Personnel: LGA, HPN, ISP, SWF
FROM: Robert A. Duffy, Federal Security Director: LGA, HPN, ISP, SWF
SUBJECT: Lead Transportation Security Officer Conwood Seymore, ISP

It is with deep regret that I inform you of the untimely passing of Lead Transportation Security Officer Conwood Seymore of Long Island Mac Arthur Airport (ISP) on Tuesday, February 16, 2021.

LTSO Seymore is survived by his wife Christy, two daughters, Kedra Brown and Jourdon Seymore, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

LTSO Seymore served in the TSA for over 18 years, beginning his career as a TSO shortly after the creation of the TSA. Conwood was promoted to LTSO in 2016, and served his entire career at ISP. Prior to joining the TSA, Conwood worked for Summit Security at ISP where he conducted screening operations before the federalization of all passenger screening. Conwood was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having honorably served eight years of active duty. The wake and funeral arrangements are being finalized by the Seymore family at this time.

Once final arrangements have been made, we will send the information out to the entire workforce. Our Human Resources team is working with the Seymore family to provide them benefits assistance and information, and we have a liaison officer assigned to Christy Seymore to support the Seymore family. Our condolences go out to the Seymore family and to all of Conwood’s teammates at ISP where he will be missed.
