1. Pickups: In order to maintain the integrity of the schedule, we need your help to enter and exit the bus at the bus shelters only. Stops and starts in the lot can delay some of the departure by 3-5 minutes.
2. Route inside the lot:
a. The busses will start at shelter 1 (indicated below) at approximately 8 minutes prior to departure time. Departure time (or D0 as we know it) will be measured from shelter 3 below at :00, :15, :30, :45. Therefore if departure time is 4:15am the shuttle bus will depart from shelter 1 at 4:07am and head to shelter 2.
b. The bus will arrive to shelter 2 (indicated below) for a pickup and then depart at approximately 4 minutes prior to departure time. Therefore if departure time is 4:15am then the bus will depart from shelter 2 at 4:11am.
c. The bus will continue to shelter 3 (indicated below) where it will pickup and wait for the specified departure time. In the same example above the bus will depart shelter 3 at 4:15am.
UPDATE:
While we have little to no control of the employee bus, Senior Leadership has made it known it meetings with the airport community that the service of the employee bus has not been meeting the needs of our employees. Moving forward, any TSA staff that has a complaint about the employee bus should send an email to: lgaemployeebus@airservcorp.com. For those of you who had emailed us directly or posted on Facebook, your concerns was forwarded to the contractor for handling.
During the LAAMCO meeting held yesterday, all in attendance expressed dissatisfaction concerning the bus operation and no one is pleased with the new operation. Our officers concerns were expressed. LAAMCO is looking at enhancements so I am confident that things will get better. LAAMCO will also be reinstating their monthly Employee Bus Meeting in the near future.
