Government Shutdown Information

In the event of a Shutdown of the Federal Government on Saturday December 22, 2018 at 0001 HOURS
 
For all employees that are EXEMPT from the FURLOUGH at LGA/HPN/ISP/SWF
 
 
All approved leave (Annual, Sick, Court, Comp, Military, etc.) in a FURLOUGH where the Government of the United States is shut down is CANCELLED.  You must report to work to get paid when funding is restored to the Federal Government.
 
For those that have a previously planned vacation or trip; or are on Military Orders; you will be afforded the opportunity to be placed in a NON PAY FURLOUGH STATUS for the duration of your absence.  This will be done at your request through your chain of command (next highest level Management Official who is NOT FURLOUGHED).  If you are not able to arrive to work please call the LGA Coordination Center.  No leave requests may be considered during the furlough, if you need time off you will have to speak to your Management official.
 
All EXEMPT employees are expected to report to duty as directed daily.  If they are unable to report for any reason, they must be placed in a FURLOUGH status.  Any approved paid leave must be cancelled.  Paid leave cannot be granted under any circumstances for any employee (this includes leave due to illness or other emergencies).
 
Any other questions that an exempt employee has should be directed to your next highest level Management official who is not furloughed.
