OT for
the upcoming week is open for officers to book the entire next week. As
of right now we have many slots not filled for Wednesday the 23rd.
Please brief your officers to volunteer to avoid squad cancellations. If
by Monday we have not seen the slots filled we will have to consider cancelling
Wednesday RDO for Squads 3 and 4.
Due
to the heavy passenger loads anticipated in connection with spring break and
Presidents Holidays, the LGA CC will be opening up VOLUNTARY OVERTIME in an
attempt to eliminate the need of mandated OT (RDO Cancellations). OT will
be made available for TSOs (FT and PT), LTSOs, STSOs, BDOs/LBDOs/SBDOs, and
STIs to volunteer for (all OT will work screening functions at a screening
checkpoint unless there is a legitimate need to perform supervisory duties).
In
addition to overtime, P/T officers will be expected to work extended shifts on
the following dates as well. 1st shift officers that work
0430X0930 or 0730X1230 will work 0400X1230. 2nd shift officers that work
1200X1700 or 1400X1900 will work 1200X2030. 3rd shift officers
that work 1730X2230 will work 1400X2230. P/T officers should express
concerns of this to their TSMs.
The
following dates, shifts, and slots will be made available for volunteers to
call the OT line to have their name placed in the OT log book. The start
and end times for OT will vary day to day. The LGA CC will
separately publish the dates and times to call in for OT. LGA CC
has been provided the instructions on which areas OT will be filled first; any
officer expressing to the LGA CC that they do not want to work in a particular
area will be acknowledged
as no longer wishing to work OT and the CC will move on to the next
willing caller/officer.

In
the event that the LGA CC is not able to get enough volunteers for overtime,
they will contact officers utilizing reverse seniority (least senior person) to
mandate the officer to work an additional shift. Officers on RDO will be
called first to place them on a mandated overtime shift.
